Jon Bell, reporter for the Portland Business Journal highlighted the charitable contributions that Living Room Realty is making with their Loving Room Fund. While many real estate transactions end with a handshake and a housewarming gift, Portland’s Living Room Realty has added one more step. The company’s goal is to raise $50,000 for three Portland nonprofits this year: Oregon Wild, an environmental organization working to protect Oregon’s wild lands; p:ear, which works with homeless and transitional youth; and Urban Gleaners, which focuses on using excess to alleviate hunger.
Since it’s launch in March, the Loving Room Fund gives Living Room clients the choice of which organization to contribute. The nonprofit of their choosing receives a minimum donation of $50 from their agent at the end of the transaction.
“Giving back is a big part of our value system, and we wanted to create a way to engage our community and share that joy with our clients,” said Living Room Realty broker, Cristen Lincoln. “With the Loving Room Fund, we hope to continue to inspire more giving and bring awareness to these amazing nonprofit organizations.”
