My dudes, Seamus and Liam, came to me as buyers with a knowledge of this market and the ambition to look at houses every single day. Recognizing that if they didn’t buy now, they were going to be pushed to the edge of Portland and super far from all their community. For that reason, they were in contract on an adorable 3 bedroom house in Montavilla within a week of looking.
This house had been on the market for a couple of weeks but the first people who were in contract on it got cold feet. It came back on the market just as these guys started looking but they weren’t allowing any showings until a week later. It didn’t even have any pictures of the interior but we kept it on our radar and were the first ones to get in there the day showings started. We wrote our offer that same morning and waited a painful day to hear if our offer was accepted or not.
The house has been in the same family this whole time. The granddaughter owns it now but is moving away so she’s letting it go. Besides being a big corner lot, it has an enormous basement for future finishing and solid bones throughout. Needs some cosmetics, but that’s the fun part. Super stoked to see another couple in my community lay down roots and own a tiny piece of this city. Love you dudes.
