It’s All Cool in Repose Gray

I met my clients when I helped them sell their investment condo in Multnomah Village.  They were happily living in the Woodstock neighborhood and loved everything about it.  They had been in their house for about nine years when they decided at the beginning of the summer to re-paint the interiors.  They had lived with warm, rusty reds and cool shades of green that went along with the house’s Craftsman design cues. Then it was time.  Enough already of the red.  So they got a bid to paint all of the interior walls and ceilings, kitchen cabinets and all the trim throughout.  This is not only a large financial investment, but one that you’ll have to live with for awhile.  Choosing a color isn’t easy.  The trim should be White.  The blinds are trimmed in Ecru (Sigh).  The walls should be neutral, but have some personality.  After some research and testing they settled on the perfect color. Repose Gray! A few weeks and thousands of dollars later they were loving their house and starting to unbox the items put away for the big undertaking.

Then I got a call.  “Hi, it’s me. I think I found a house.” I said hello and that I didn’t know she was looking for a house. She said “I know, I haven’t even told my husband.” I said okay, let me know if you want to go inside and take a look.  We met at the house that evening and the next day made an offer.  It is gorgeous.  Brand new construction with top of the line finishes.  They can walk to their old house, and the kids can still attend the same school.  They got the open floor plan, an extra bedroom, air conditioning and so much more.  Last night we did a final walk through before closing and they said “Oh cool, there’s left over paint in the garage for touch-ups” I know you know the color…
