I received a random, out of the blue text from a friend of mine “Hey! I think we’re ready to look at some homes”. I hadn’t spoken with Rebecca in many weeks but I was glad she remembered me. Rebecca is a Registered Nurse in a busy Emergency Department. She has many pursuits including hiking the PCT, running local and international marathons, as well as travelling all over the world. Her spouse, Daniel, is also a runner as well, and they share a passion of being energy conscious and environmentally aware. He is a fire and water damage restoration expert and it showed at the properties we viewed. At first I was nervous regarding showing them older homes with lots of hidden problems and potential issues that only someone of his experience would know. But he was great and we shifted our focus on newer homes and he taught me how to spot potentially poor workmanship in homes of all types and ages. I looked forward to learning more about what his mind was focusing on while at some homes.
I have done all of my business in Portland proper and upon speaking, texting, and emailing with my new clients they stated they were curious about Beaverton, Milwaukie and Oregon City. These area’s were out of my usual comfort zone but I was excited to see what was beyond the hills and in the “valleys” as I liked to think.
2 days of looking and we were under contract! A newer subdivision, a 1 yr old home, with warranties, new grass, friendly neighbors, and an Energy Trust certified home. I could not have asked for a better experience. They were quick, decisive, knew what they wanted, educated, and most of all understanding. Working with Rebecca and Daniel made me realize that I have the best clients an agent can ask for. Thanks guys!!!
