What David’s clients have to say:

“We enlisted David Columbus to find us a house when we moved to Portland, and his work on that successful venture was so impressive and beyond what we’d hoped for that there was no question who was going to be our real estate broker when we decided to move. David is a combination of so many  essential things in a broker. He instantly puts you at ease, and frankly, my wife and I had felt like we’d known him for years. In addition, he is part of the Portland fabric; he knows the town intimately and he’s incredibly keen to what is going on, what’s gone on—and has intelligent insight into what might happen in this unique city. And as icing on the cake, he also brings his international travel experience to the mix. David has a laid-back demeanor and great personality, but he’s also intensely focused and possesses a razor-sharp business acumen. With both of our experiences, he was a relentless advocate for us, and worked hard toward helping us reach our goal. When we had a worry about any little thing, he was available with a calm solution and he constantly put us at ease, but he never sugarcoated things to make us feel better; he simply always has answers and solutions at the ready. He also has amazing rapport with other brokers in this city and is obviously a well-respected and liked professional in this sector. We can see why. We found him principled, honest and balanced in his advice and opinions. When he thought something might not be a good idea, even if it would have made his job easier, he expressed it with our best intentions at heart. Honesty, hard work and intelligent decision-making are indispensable when embarking on such huge life changes as buying and selling a house. We’ve gotten to experience both of these things with David and would recommend him over and over to friends and family.”

Thank you so much for your excellent efforts in obtaining the “Yellow Building” and for an excellent champagne with which to toast this next adventure! Happy New Year.  We look forward to future collaborations!” –Meredith & DA Hilderbrand

“David,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for everything!  We certainly appreciate all the time and effort into making our home purchase a possibility.  We are continuing our settling in process but want to have you over once things are more “together”… Thanks for the champagne – it’s still chilling!” –Sherry & Fred

“I would highly recommend David Columbus for your real estate agent.  On the recent sale of my home he was professional, informative, patient and hardworking.  I had no complaints about his performance.  He did what he said he would do and did it in a timely fashion.  He met all my expectations and in several instances exceeded them.  I attribute the good price and the quick sale to his expertise. I am one very satisfied client.” –Mary E. Stolt, CPA

grotto

The Grotto is one of those “off-the-beaten-path” spots that I like to bring visitors to, after we’ve hit up all of the usual suspects (Powell’s, Blue Star Donuts, and a hike in the Columbia River Gorge, among others). The Grotto has an interesting history that dates back to 1924, when it was established by Friar... More
