Lisa Ratzlaff instantly fell in love with Portland the moment she moved here and can’t imagine a better place to live. She’s embraced Portland’s spirit, where the people are friendly, dogs are welcome at the office, and bikes have their own traffic signals. In her free time, she explores the city by bike and hangs out at the dog park with her Corgi.

Lisa can’t imagine a better way to share her love for the city than being a Realtor. For her, it’s not just about selling houses, but also about home and community – where life is lived and stories unfold. Lisa is passionate about serving her clients. It’s their home and their story, and Lisa wants them to have the best guidance possible. Lisa serves clients in all phases of life. She has earned the designation of Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) by completing special course work to help her address the issues and wishes of the 50+ community.

Lisa brings to real estate the experience and knowledge she gained as a case manager paralegal for over 20 years. Lisa developed skills for managing complex legal files and relied on her curiosity and resourcefulness for digging deep into issues to find answers. These skills are invaluable to Lisa as a Realtor, as she works to empower her clients by diligently guiding them through each transaction. For her, it’s about working for and with her clients, so they can find their own special corner of Portland to call home.

Lisa loves Portland’s vibrant local economy and wants to support it anyway she can. She writes a blog where she tells the stories of local, independent business owners in Portland. She really enjoys sharing these stories and has so much fun meeting so many wonderful people. If you’re interested, you can read more at: facesfromtheneighborhood.blogspot.com.

What Lisa’s clients have to say:

“Lisa Ratzlaff is a gem! Unfailingly professional and reliable but also patient, knowledgeable, resourceful, and kind. She works hard and, most importantly, ALWAYS does what she says she will. This was my first time buying a home and she helped me to feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I can’t recommend her highly enough.” – Kathleen K.

“A year ago I was new to the Portland area and completely naive about the local real estate market. I was very fortunate to find Lisa Ratzlaff. She educated me on my options and the different areas of town and helped me find a very reasonably priced condo that I have grown to love more and more as I get to know Portland. Lisa made that possible. She is an excellent realtor, one who is insightful, attentive, and great at following up. I would recommend her to anyone and plan on using her for any of my future real estate needs.” – J Thomas

“Lisa Ratzlaff is our friend and real estate agent for any future home purchases. Lisa has always kept us in the loop (the listing pages) on what is active in the areas that have interested us. Lisa is always very professional and honest when we look at property which is always appreciated when you are not sure what you are looking for or at. Thank you Lisa for being who you are.” – Lori S.

“As first-time home buyers (my boyfriend an Oregon native, and myself a transplant from Colorado) trying to navigate the Portland housing market, we really weren’t sure what to expect. Since my better half travels for work out of state for long periods of time, I was incredibly nervous to go at this process alone. At our introductory meeting with Lisa, we set the necessary parameters of what we wanted in our first home, which was a challenge to say the least. Maybe idyllic in our desires, Lisa persevered, and championed for us from start to finish, finding us exactly what we wanted in our first home. [She was] flexible, accommodating, and calmed me down when I overreacted (which happened kind of a lot.) Both my boyfriend and I appreciate all the effort and time into helping us. Now being home owners, I can’t imagine anyone else working with us. She is a gem, and I highly recommend her!!! – Lindsay W.

Portland Bungalow

What Kind of House is This? That’s a question I asked myself often when I first moved here. I still vividly remember how I felt when I saw all the old neighborhoods, full of old houses with such character and style. The neighborhoods felt almost magical. I’d heard the terms bungalow, craftsman, and tudor before, but I... More

Are You Ready to Downsize?

Downsize

Downsize Has Its Upside I recently attended the Upside of Downsizing Conference here in Portland. While the conference was designed for seniors, I sat there thinking the topics we discussed were also applicable to members of other generations wishing to downsize or thinking of their loved ones. We all have different reasons for wanting to... More
