Close-In Urban Farm?

Hard to find?  Yes, but possible.  After months of practicing the very fine art of patience, my awesome clients Steve and Jill found just exactly what they were looking for.  Room for their toys, their dogs, some chickens maybe, a huge yard for gardening and the perfect whiskey drinking patio.  All in a cool close in neighborhood. And the hidden gem – beautiful hardwoods carefully preserved under carpet all those years. I love it when things come together just right… More

I just didn’t think I could do sushi from a food cart.  Time and again neighbors raved about it and still it just somehow didn’t seem right, I’m pretty picky about my raw fish.  Well, after being coerced by a friend to try it, my only regret is that I’d waited so long.  This place is amazing.  The fish tacos are incredible and the sushi among the best I’ve ever eaten.  Zenbu. 7909 SE 13th in Sellwood.  Look for the cute little Airstream.  I promise, you won’t be disappointed.   More

That 70’s show…

Some of my favorite clients, Sean and Kelly, are about to embark on quite the project. Turning this 1970’s time capsule, right down to the rust colored shag carpet, into something absolutely wonderful.  They’ve hired an award winning architect and have hit the ground running.  Can’t wait to see the results. Good luck to you both, so happy to call you neighbors…. ..                 More

When I first met with Stephanie and Troy, I met a couple that had just made a major life decision to relocate back East with their little girl and two very large dogs. They planned to start getting the house ready to sell and wanted my advice.  As most of us do, they really lived in their house. I had to tell them that the dog crates had to be moved from the dining room, all the little stuff had to be packed away, painting needed to be done, windows washed, gutters cleaned, furnace serviced and the list went on. They were overwhelmed but agreeable. I got a call the next day letting me know a job had materialized and they had to be in Boston in less than two weeks! An already hectic life went into frenzy mode. When I arrived with the photographer 10 days later, I was completely blown away.  The house had been transformed. I can’t imagine what those 10 days... More

Ahh, that thing called patience…

They say patience is a virtue, and how true that statement is.  My awesome client Erin had a huge dose of it when just about everything out of our control happened.  We’d cross one hurdle and another one always seemed to appear.  Thanks to Erin for her diligence, attention to detail, and extreme patience.  When... More
