Compact Condo Life for the Win at Cardinell View Lofts

By Marissa Sainz, June 3, 2025

When I first toured the Cardinell View Lofts years ago I remember thinking this is a special building. It is located just south of the PSU campus, but at the foot of the SW Hills with nature surrounding it. The building was built in 1951 so it has cool mid century vibes and the cherry on top are the stunning city views. You can see all of downtown Portland and Mt Hood. What else could you want?

With a walk score of 85 you are just steps away from everything you need. Enjoy the day grabbing a cup of coffee before walking to the Portland Art Museum. Choose from a number of amazing downtown restaurants and bars to spend your evenings before a show at the Schnitz. And don’t forget the PSU farmers market every Saturday for your weekly shopping.

The building also has a transit score of 89. You have easy access to the Streetcar and Max lines for the days you want to leave the neighborhood.

Each condo in the building is between 300 and 600 square feet with the exception of the top floor units. These smaller condos are enough living space without the work of caring for a large house or condo. The smart layouts allow for living space, bedroom and workspace. The oversized windows make the spaces feel larger and give your guests something to be envious about on their walk home.

Reach out to view this lovely building!
