It’s Snow Problem!

By Living Room Realty, February 25, 2019

After the truly brutal amount of snow a couple winters ago, I always get extra nervous if I see any snowflakes in the forecast. A snow day can really put in a wrench in the real estate biz. It pushes back repairs, inspections, closings, and deadlines. It means extra paperwork, extra work, and extra headaches.

I was working with my dear clients Marty and Liz when the forecast turned nasty. We were closing up repairs on a sewer line and the impending snowpocolypse was making it look like we wouldn’t be able to close on time. Yikes. Luckily, as anyone who lives in Portland knows, we all over prepared for a very underwhelming amount of snow. The repairs carried on as planned and we got to closing on time.

Marty and Liz were referred to me by my longtime lender friend Evan Swanson. From our first meeting we hit it off and they were the most fun folks to work with. They constantly worried about being “the worst clients ever”, but I assure you, they were far from. I am ALMOST sad our home buying adventure is done, just because it was so great to spend time with these two! But all good things must come to an end, and when it comes to finding my clients a new home, nothing makes me happier than handing over the keys and calling it a day.
