Ducks Fly Together

By Living Room Realty, March 22, 2019

I can’t lie, I’m currently writing this blog with the Ducks/Wisconsin game playing in the background. It’s somewhat fitting that the day my friend Keely closes on her home is the same day our Ducks start their deep tournament run (speaking it into existence).

Keels and I met while at the University of Oregon and actually lived a block and a half away from each other. Our friend groups got really close, and I was super excited when she came to Portland following graduation!

With one of my best friends taking her roommate away, we had to get Keels her own home. Location was the biggest thing we looked for, trying to get her a home close to work (inner NE). We found a really cute 2/1 in Concordia and jumped on it. It was cute, and updated, all while in the perfect location for Keely’s commute.

Once we were in contract, we found a surprisingly high number of repairs that we needed, including some major repairs. Keely and her father kept their cool and trusted that we would get the repairs negotiated. Working closely with the agent on the other side, the sellers agreed to get all of the large ticket items taken care of before she moves in. It was a large list, but we collectively got it done!

Thanks for the trust Keely! Now I just need to get you a nice stump…
