When your *addiction* is having a weakness for run-down homes

By Living Room Realty, July 19, 2019

All my life I’ve had this weakness for run-down old houses. It’s like taking in stray animals; I want to save them. I can’t save every old house in Portland, I don’t have the financial ability to do so nor the time, but Chris and I do take on a few “client fixers” each year.  We do this to help the client take the house to market, to jump start the home for a future buyer. It takes a great amount of time and energy to turn the corner on some of these homes, but it’s worth it.  In the end, renovating a house in a respectful way is a public service. We are the caretakers of these houses. They were here before us, and they will be here after we’re gone. Restoring a house to useful life will not only improve your neighborhood and your community, but it also can improve your bank balance.

Have a cosmetic fixer that you wish to sell?  Frustrated at where to start and what to fix?  Give us a call.  This is our thing.  We truly love what we do which is coming up with a plan.
