Portland Mercado- A hub for Latino culture

By Living Room Realty, July 25, 2019

The dream of developing a Latino public market is alive and running at full steam. It is a center for commerce based on Latino heritage and is the first of its kind in Portland. The grassroots community driven effort included planning workshops, surveys, interviews and hours of researching similar markets around the country.

9 food carts and 6 indoor businesses represent the diverse flavors of Latin America including Puerto Rico, Peru, Cuba, Oaxaca, Colombia and Venezuela…

This wonderful establishment open in 2015 in the vibrant Foster/Powell area and is a great place to enjoy food and take in the vibrant culture.
