When my cousin and her husband first bought a house a few years ago, I had just gotten into Real Estate. They didn’t even know I was an agent and ended up purchasing their home with a different REALTOR®. This past summer I was fortunate enough to work with them on the sale of that home. I was told multiple times that working with family and friends can have added pressure. I definitely gave them some shit for using someone else the first time around, so that may have added to the pressure. But it was family, and it was all love. It’s honestly a privilege working with those that I’m close to. And I’m not going to lie, it hurts when the people I know work with other REALTORS®. I shouldn’t take it personally, I know, but it’s a pretty human response. I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to work with my family again, I’m thankful for all of the people that chose to work with me. That’s love!
