Here’s the deal. Not only do we as REALTORS® handle what could be considered one of the biggest financial decisions in most people’s lives, but we are only in control of our half of the process. In other words, who knows how crazy the person is on the other side. Maybe they haven’t been coached on expectations. Maybe they need to net enough from the sale of their home to fully fund their llama farm. Maybe they are just plain crazy.
So when you get a call from your husband’s boss or co-worker or someone connected to the steady income-earner in your family, it can be not only flattering, but unnerving to say the least. Nate and Mollie approached the idea of working together when we were on a company sponsored trip in Maui. Side note: REALTORS® on average work 25 hours during a one week vacation, so I was up for it and quite honestly talking about real estate doesn’t really feel like work even when it’s not lucrative…Being a resource is what we do. It’s who we are. At least the good ones anyway. A dozen drinks (okay maybe more) and a 6 hour flight later, we touched down in P-town and began our adventure.
With low inventory, we set out to see anything that “could” work with the understanding that it “wouldn’t” work. And thirty or so houses, an ENGAGEMENT, and a couple of offers later we landed them the home that was meant to be. It checked off 90 or so percent of the boxes and was perfectly located between their daily commutes and friend circle. I could not be happier for these two, and the fact that my husband can go into work proud that his wife rocked the house makes it that much better. Yeah, I said it, we as a team rocked the f-ing house! Congrats Nate and Mollie, I am so grateful you chose me to help you in your homebuying adventure! Here’s to Vegas in May and a lifetime of memories together.
