Our first meeting was over the phone; we got to go over the wish list and the “can’t haves” and I felt that the couple sounded grounded and realistic. They’d purchased a home once before, but were humble and gracious about their level of expertise. With a healthy budget and do-able requests, we safely hit the streets during a full-blown pandemic. We discussed different neighborhoods and changes that Portland has endured while we looked at ultra-modern town houses, and cottages built in the 1800s. Always calm as can be, and never discouraged- the two continued to feel a strong draw to St. Johns as their wish list became more specific. His love for Cathedral park and desire for a home with character, and her image of a walkable neighborhood brought us to the perfect home. A shed for Owen, natural light for Meghan, an updated and fresh look for both to enjoy all in the heart of historic St. Johns. A huge congratulations as Portland gains two new incredible home owners!
