Full Circle in Cape Meares

By Robin Hakeman, June 28, 2020

Samantha grew up going to Cape Meares with her family and it was her paradise. At least once a week they visited the beach to dig holes in the sand, build forts out of drift wood and collect shells until the sun came down. During her college years Sam, came back to Cape Meares to take a break & clear her head. When she married Matt, a long time friend of mine, Sam introduced him to her special beach. Eventually they were married in a private ceremony on the Cape Meares sand.

The town is so special to their family that when this property came on the market, they knew it was time. The home will be in investment in their future & a place to make life long memories with their son. The property is a small 1960’s cottage in original condition. Off the family room is a wrap-around deck with views of the Ocean and the empty lot below – also included in the purchase.  I ooh’ed and awe’d over the macramé hanging decor, vintage vinyl foot stool and wood paneled walls.

The Elliotts have plans to remodel the home and create the perfect family beach getaway. I cannot wait to see how it turns out! Thank you Matt & Sam for bringing me along on this journey – a special one that I will never forget!
