Finding your go to sushi spot is no easy feat. A lot of sushi restaurants range in quality and freshness of the fish they use. Unfortunately, a lot of times quality and price have a direct relationship with each other. BUT! There has been one place that has restored all my hope in finding quality and affordable sushi – that is Saburo’s Sushi.
Saburo’s Sushi is family owned and operated. It’s this cute gem hidden in SE Portland that always has a line stretching out of the restaurant. They are continuously striving to provide “fresh, innovative, healthy food using the freshest ingredients available”. Best part is that their serving sizes are HUGE! Whenever my friends and I go we’ll order $80 worth of sushi and split between all of us and we all pay around ~ $23 each for dinner (which is a steal for quality sushi)!
It has been my all time go to sushi place I’ll always swear by. Whenever friends or family from out of town come visit, this is where I take them for first. It eventually became something they ask for (without me initiating) whenever they come to town. If you ever find yourself in the SE area near Sellwood, I highly recommend checking this place out! I’ve been their #1 fan since the beginning and they have never let me down!
