In early 2020, I was hired by two amazing women to help them find a home located in a very small area of Grant Park. The goal was driven by a number of things, but mainly the goal of being within the Beverly Cleary catchment area. After more than 10 months, the perfect home came on. It was a completely renovated craftsman, smack dab in the middle of Grant Park, just a couple blocks to Beverly Cleary and Grant High School. To say the street is epic is an understatement. It’s like a collage of Norman Rockwell paintings, with picturesque homes and trees lining the street. Patience paid off as did a carefully outlined offer strategy. With five offers and other buyers willing to go tens of thousands over the asking price, we were successful in both drafting a great offer and in acknowledging how small the world is. Just a handful of years before, my client (an Emergency Room Physician) was attended to in the Emergency Room by the seller (also a doctor) back in Colorado. Today they both practice medicine in Portland and just successfully completed a real estate transaction together!
