Blog Buyer Party at the Corner Lot!

Party at the Corner Lot!

By Living Room Realty, January 8, 2021

Who doesn’t love a house party, especially at a gorgeous expansive Craftsman? Party included! This grand Portland charmer came with the special joy of being the host to this se Hawthorn District block’s sewer party line. Years ago, the city of Portland resolved its’ lack of sewer lines on every residential street by having the corner lot “host” access to the main street city sewer by running “party lines” from the neighboring houses up the block into that corner home’s sewer line. During a purchase of a home that has a connected sewer line, whether that home is the host or the guest, it can be a wise time to break up that party and come out clean with your own line.

My clients D & Z were absolute gems to work with on this purchase, through the adventurous hoops of “un-partying” this sewer line. We built some really cool relationships with amazing local contractors and the neighbors to get the job done successfully within our tight holiday timeline! My clients and the neighbors now have their own updated 2021 sewer lines, bringing the party up above ground from here on out. A huge Congratulations to D & Z!!! Thank you so much for trusting me to make the “impossible” possible. Raising a glass to your incredible new home and all the memories you’ll create there.
