Median Home Prices Climbing

By Mel Dorman, January 26, 2021

When the Covid 19  pandemic started, so many people were worried about the housing market. It only took a few weeks to quickly realize, the real estate market was going to boom through this pandemic. If you have been a home buyer, waiting for prices to fall, I’d suggest looking at the data. We see no such thing in the near future.
For those brave enough to take the plunge already, they benefited from the appreciation seen in the last 12 months. An indicator of this appreciation is the median home price rising by neighborhood. You can see many had 10% or more in increase. While the interest rates are at all time low, don’t miss out. Home prices are rising and you don’t want to be priced out of Portland!
