As many (who know me) know, I’m a bit of an analytics wonk! I use hard data every day in my practice of buying & marketing real estate to sell. So what I find interesting about the fun facts that I’ve illustrated today…
… is that the number of people from outside of Portland looking to purchase real estate in our city may be less than 20%. In fact, less than 10% of shoppers appear to be coming from California, yet over 80% of them are locals perhaps just looking to make a lifestyle change.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This runs contrary to our public perception, but the actual data gives me hope that folks haven’t given up on the future of our beautiful city! Regardless of what those who make their living selling headlines might have you believe.
