Dunthorpe Tudor Delight

By Robin Hakeman, April 6, 2021

Once upon a time there was a house in the hills of Portland. It was a grand Tudor style home with expansive windows and a view of the trees and mountains. The home was impeccably cared for with high end remodeling in the kitchen and owner’s suite. Behind a gorgeous wood paneled wall in the living room was a secret door that revealed a spiral staircase down to a wine cellar. The backyard was like a park with pathways winding over a waterfall down to a Japanese style tea house and  zen garden. It all felt so magical!

One day a very special family decided they wanted to make this house their home. They waited patiently for the power to come back on and trees to be cleared after one of the most destructive storms in Portland history. When they were finally able to visit the home they were in awe. The space is perfect for their family with room to grow. The grounds will be a place of adventure for their young daughter. They were fortunate to have their offer accepted by the seller & have big plans for their future in this storybook home!
