Stumped About the Rising Costs of Lumber?

By Living Room Realty, June 13, 2021

Hi, Readers!

Summer’s just. About. Here. Woo! With that, comes the inevitable litany of projects around the house. Many of which could involve the need to purchase lumber. Just in case you haven’t noticed, the cost of materials has skyrocketed — in some cases by more than 375%. 😱 WHY?! Welp, a lot of it makes sense – aligning with the impacts that the epidemic had on people’s definition of home. But how long will it last?

HERE is a great overview that helps break it down.

If you’re looking to save a buck and save the planet while you’re at it – consider purchasing material from a reseller that reclaims materials. Make it funky! And you’ll be surprised by the quality you can find.

The last time I visited the Rebuilding Center on N. Missisippi there was a whole pallet of designer tiles I spotted – and they have literally aisles and aisles of lumber. It’s so fun.

Plan to spend some time sorting through the bins of drawer pulls… just me? Let me know if you go, and what you find! Also let me know if you need any additional resources for your project needs. I’m here for you.

Till then, high fives,
