Back in 2017, I had the pleasure of helping the coolest couple buy a home in North Portland. It was a charming 1940s home that had been partially updated. The basement had been partially updated, and they saw a TON of potential down there. The market at the time was competitive (not nearly what it is today), and they beat out multiple offers. They bought the home for around $450,000. The poured their heart and soul into the basement to finish it out. They opened it up, cleaned it up, added a kitchenette, added a full bathroom, and boom! The house became even more amazing that when they bought it. Fast forward 3.5 years, and they were able to sell the home to a sweet family for $600,000. What a privilege it has been to help them buy the home, and then sell the home. Congratulations!
