How often do two siblings have the opportunity to live next door to one another? The answer is almost never. In my humble twenty year career I had yet to be in a position to help two siblings become neighbors, but this October that opportunity presented itself. With the market red hot and this particular home a rare opportunity in one of Portland’s most desirable neighborhoods, the odds started to mount against us. However, after a patient five day viewing period, we crafted a strategy that ultimately prevailed against several other strong offers. Knowing the listing agent was a key component, but so was our compelling narrative and offer terms. I often feel pressure in competitive situations, but this situation was different. I am so grateful for the trust of my clients, their sibling next door and their extended family. To be able to hand keys to my clients and celebrate an opportunity that may have never presented itself again is a true joy!
