Such a special start to this week celebrating an early, successful close on this sweetheart of a house in the heart of Portland’s Richmond neighborhood. I had the absolute delight of meeting Katherine and Jim at an open house earlier this Spring. We bonded over our love of food and traveling to far away places. I could tell right away I was going to sincerely enjoy them so very much. I had no idea how meaningful their friendship would become to me over the next 6 months. They are stepping into a new chapter of their lives and wanted to work together to bring their beautiful home to the market.
With an incredible kitchen, beautiful custom bonus spaces, and gorgeous gardens around the entire property, this unique home was such a delight to bring to our Autumn Portland Metro Buyers. Jim, Katherine, and I had a blast working on house projects over the weeks leading up to our list date. Uncovering original hardwood floors upstairs under the existing carpet, selecting striking shades of paint for each room, pulling in curated furniture for the staging, and putting the final touches around their landscaped beds are just a few of the amazing steps we enjoyed together. We could not have been more elated or more proud to see this spectacular listing go live in September.
I hosted two busy open houses on our opening weekend with rave remarks from everyone who came to visit. Katherine and Jim received multiple over ask offers and had the hard challenge of selecting a set of buyers from strong candidates. We were honored to smoothly step into transaction with a fantastic pair of buyers and their incredible agent. Their local lender made every hoop smooth sailing and before we knew it, we were ready to close over a week in advance of our agreed upon closing date! Everyone was thrilled.
It’s a bittersweet end to this meaningful chapter for me and my clients as we wrap up our connection to this house.
