Rallying for Richmond

By Lauren Hurley, November 22, 2021

This market can be unrelenting for Buyers in certain neighborhoods, and Richmond in Southeast Portland is one! Erica + Nick went into the home buying process knowing that the neighborhoods they were hoping to find a home, would be competitive. We talked strategies and what to expect, in our very first meeting together. I knew right away, that while the inventory was low, they had the perfect attitude for such an environment. They were not in a rush, they wanted to remain selective, and most importantly, they understood what types of terms were winning multiple offer situations.

On the first offer they wrote, they were offered backup position. They were beat by another offer’s price. That home ended up Closing with the first buyer, so they moved on with a level and unwavering positivity. When this home in Richmond hit the market, they knew it would be competitive and again, would strategize to write their very best offer. And that they did! Their full package of terms, plus the highest price out of ten competing offers, won them the house! Even more, it was in their ideal neighborhood, and had all the old Portland character they loved.

Attitude is everything and when they had to rally, rally they did!

I could not be more happy for the two.
