Sometimes trying to find the realistic “house package” in the Portland market can be very difficult. And when you do find that house it ends up being the perfect package for so many other buyers. You end up having to fight hard to get that home.
At first it seemed like Ron and Kaitlyn’s “must haves” and “nice to haves” were a little out of reach in what Portland currently had to offer. So they decided to expand their circle further outside of the city limits. They found some homes that were a little closer to what might be quote unquote “perfect.” However, they didn’t want to settle, so they kept the faith and kept searching. It was a complete surprise when their dream home came on the market.
This home had everything on their list and more! Not to mention it was in the community they already contributed to and lived in. The stars were aligning! But then there were multiple offers. It was slightly discouraging to them, as they felt they may not be able to compete.
When you invite a realtor to join you on your home finding journey, it’s pivotal that they act as your bodyguards and your support system. We made sure to back them up with support and get them feeling strong and ready for this fight. We do everything we cab to help our clients get their dream homes.
Though they were nervous, they were completely onboard. We all had each other’s backs and fought for this home. And it turned out remarkably! We all celebrated when we found out we beat out 4 other offers and got into contract with the seller.
Just like any transaction, things are smooth until we dig up repairs needed during inspection. That didn’t stop Ron and Kaitlyn for pressing forward. We quickly got estimates on the items that were dealbreakers and we helped them make a case for why they needed that credited back to them. It worked! They got a credit and we continued to move forward on to calmer seas. It really was smooth sailing from here on out.
This resulted in what Real Estate should be about. Happy Buyers and Happy Sellers. We couldn’t be more proud of Ron and Kaitlyn for finding their dream home. An awesome home for an awesome couple. Congrats to them!
