Easy Ways to Improve Your Curb Appeal

By Living Room Realty, July 5, 2022

Do you love the unique design elements inside your home that make it feel special but the exterior still isn’t making the impact that you’d like? You may want to consider new ways that you can boost your curb appeal. With a few simple changes to both your home’s exterior and front yard, your home will look brand new in no time and can even make your home sell faster!

The first upgrade I recommend when trying to improve your curb appeal is to focus on your landscaping. Start by trimming back any trees or overgrown plants to give your home a chance to be seen. Giving your lawn some attention by going over it with a lawn mower and pulling unwanted weeds can help give your home a clean, put together look. If you don’t currently have grass on your property, no worries! You can lay down a fresh layer of mulch or bark dust to keep your landscaping neat and easy to maintain. You may also consider power washing dirt and grime off of your home’s siding, driveway, walkway and sidewalk, which can make all the difference.

If your front yard is already in great condition, it may be time to focus on ways to improve your home in other ways. I always love a new paint job to breathe some life back into your home. This is also a great way to make your home stand out on your block! With a new, fresh paint job for your exterior, it’s only right to update your doors hardware as well, given this is the first thing a guest will see when they walk in. Showing a little bit of love to your front porch by creating an inviting seating area will make your home more visually appealing. Add plants flanking the front door complete with a clean, new doormat and you’re all set!
