A time to reset and to be inspired.

By Andy Meeks, December 30, 2023

I hope this finds you and your loved ones preparing for the new year with joy, laughter and good health. What a wonderful opportunity we have at this time each year to reset our routines and improve our habits, so we can make positive changes in our lives and in our community. I’m always inspired by this process. I believe that 2024 will be a year of continued optimism and resilience for Portland, and that we all continue to recognize, respect and appreciate its natural beauty, creative and inspiring citizens, and the possibilities we all know and hope to exist. The future is indeed bright.

Looking at what 2024 might hold for our Portland area real estate market, there are encouraging signs that it will continue to find its footing and regain a more balanced dynamic. The driver of this good news is that the Fed has been signaling multiple interest rate cuts in 2024, which would help dramatically reduce borrowing costs. This will help to improve overall affordability, bring more buyers into the market, and help sellers with their relocation options. Overall, our market continues to be resilient and it offers opportunities on both sides with the right strategies and proper planning.

Please let me know if there’s anything that I can help you with, including a complimentary home valuation assessment, contractor recommendations, consults and strategy discussions, or anything else you might need. I’m here to support you and those you know with exceptional expertise, unwavering integrity and compassionate advocacy. Happy New Year!

He/Him

My clients are always my top priority, and my singular focus is their success. This is the intention I set every day. My training and background as a licensed attorney helps me lead with a sharp attention to detail, a keen ear and focused voice, and an unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency and discretion. I’m a passionate advocate and I thrive when helping others succeed, and I’m always available to connect over a cup of coffee to learn how I can help make good things happen. Read my client reviews here. The choice to become a real estate broker was a joyful combination of two very different careers. Prior to moving to Portland in 2008, I was an environmental and title closing attorney in Massachustts. Since then, I've served as a program manager and fundraising professional for Portland-based non-profit organizations Friends of Trees, The Freshwater Trust and Ecotrust. While not scouting homes and helping clients, you can find me riding bicycles, skiing, digging in the garden, experimenting in the kitchen, and exploring the stunning beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Please let me know how I can help you or someone you know. Thank you! *I'm licensed as an attorney in Massachusetts and can't offer any sort of legal advice.
