It can be a little complicated getting all the moving parts going the same speed, but when the stars align, foreclosures can be a great opportunity to get an awesome home for a great deal! I recently helped my clients, who also are my in-laws, purchase a great condo in St. Johns that was under foreclosure. I am so thrilled to have been able to help them find a new home here, and for them to be closer to my family!
The neighborhood of St. Johns is one my favorites in town. It’s still got a small town feel and a bit of grit left on it, but it’s also family-friendly and has a bevy of great shops and restaurant to remind you that’s it’s still Portland. With a proper “main street” populated with old and new establishments, St. Johns really feels like it’s own city. Luckily you are literally 15 mins into downtown, so you can live that suburban-style life, without having to go full suburbanite. Old and new, city and small town. Best of both worlds.
