There is nothing quite like the concept of HOME.
It’s nostalgic, elusive, comfortable, necessary, and something we are always seeking. Is home the place that you grew up, or where in the world your family is from? Is it the place you choose for yourself and spend most of your time, where you raise your children and cook holiday dinners? Or is something else? Is it that feeling that you carry with you from place to place, regardless of the shape and size of the dwelling?
As a REALTOR®, I encounter people from all walks of life looking for their next version of home. My recent clients Tammy and Josh, are a blended family á la Brady Bunch, and when they came to me looking for a new place for the entire family, it was clear that these are folks who carry their homes in their hearts. I just needed to find a great place for them to do what they do.
The logistic were this: Josh has two daughters from a previous marriage who live in Seattle, while Tammy lives here with her 10-yr old son. They split their time between Seattle and Portland, and need to have a residence in both places. Previously, Tammy and her son were keeping it cozy in her darling 2-bedroom condo, but after Tammy and Josh got married she knew that was just not gonna fly with a family of 5! We ended up finding the perfect place for them in Tigard, with a huge backyard and lots of room to grow. Bonus points for being close to Tammy’s cousin, who lives in the neighborhood!
