IT’S MILLER TIME!!!

Welcome to Miller Time!

Three year old Miller and his dad Nate have a new home. Located in Arbor Lodge area of North Portland, their 1911 home is located one house off Arbor Lodge Park.

Mr. Miller is beyond excited to be able to play hard at Harper’s Playground in Arbor Lodge Park. Nate is just as excited. There is so much potential in this cute bungalow fixer that Nate purchased for just under $300,000. It may be a little quirky little two bedroom handyman special. Fixing stuff is right up Nate’s alley. Having worked in the commercial and residential construction trade, Nate is planning a big remodel. With only 6’5″ ceilings on the main level, super steep stairs and other strange spaces, Nate has big plans to blow the ceiling out to the rafters and create an airy environment.

As the photos show, the kitchen was “remodeled” with IKEA cabinets and the fridge is in the living room. It is a super head scratcher as to why they did not integrate it into the kitchen. Super quirky, right?!

Nate is very excited his “man cave”, aka the garage, has roll up doors on both sides. Super sweet and rare.  Makes his plans to include an ADU in the big backyard waaaaaay easier. Nate is already mapping, planning and plotting out the ADU. His plan is to complete it in the next few years and then rent the house out.

I can’t wait to see this remodel and ADU!  Stay tuned for updates!

If you would like to find your own “fixer upper” with or without ADU potential, there are plenty around Portland and Vancouver.  Just reach out let me know what areas you are interested in and we can set up a curated home search for you.  Or feel free to search for homes yourself at www.jennifer-johnston.com.
