Cash for Condos

By Marissa Sainz, August 22, 2018

Jamie is one of the most laid back sellers I have had the pleasure of working with.  We listed his Milwaukie home and it took longer than expected to sell. The home is a huge house in a great area, but had a funky layout that many buyers didn’t get excited about.  We needed to sell his home to be able to start the search for his new condo.  It took two months and one buyer backing out to find the right buyers for his Milwaukie home.

With that house under contract we began the search for his new condo.  We had done some touring early in the process and went out on a Saturday morning to check out two new options.  The second one was in the perfect location and the perfect size with a pool!  Jamie decided to submit an offer right away.

Then I received the phone call that a buyer’s agent never wants to receive, there was a cash offer coming in.  I called Jamie to give him the news that this most likely was not going to be his condo. He took the news well and we waited. The next day I received a the phone call that a buyer’s agent always wants to receive, the cash buyer would not bend on terms that were important to the seller.  Jamie’s offer was back in the running!  With a few small tweaks of contract details we were able to secure the condo for Jamie.  He is moving in next week and couldn’t be happier.
