My buyers sweet new home in Forest Grove has me day dreaming of summer hikes in the forest! To bring some of that grounding earthy energy to these cold winter months, I like to fix a cup of fir needle chai to sip on. Fir needles are especially beneficial at this time of year, as they are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and calming for the nervous system.
This fir needle forest chai recipe is adapted from this recipe – and can easily be altered to your personal tastes! I like mine brewed strong with a splash of coconut cream and honey.
Mix all dry ingredients and store in an airtight jar. When ready to brew, pour hot water over 1-2 tablespoons of tea mixture. Steep for 5-8 min and enjoy!
