Travis and Lucy were past clients of mine, looking for a new home for their family. They wanted to purchase something, before selling their home, so we had some early conversations about how to structure their financing and be able to make competitive offers on any properties they found interesting.
They needed a layout that worked a bit better for their current needs which includes working from home and homeschooling their son. They desired for it to be situated in a neighborhood that had sidewalks, not directly on a busy road, had a lower maintenance yard AND most importantly, fit their style and aesthetic of an older home, without the deferred maintenance that many came associated with.
We looked at many different neighborhoods situated on the West Side, and when this Cedar Hills Home popped up, just a few minutes away from their current home, they knew they had to compete for this one. As is the norm in this market, this one came up with multiple offers to compete against, but thanks to our earlier conversations and the legwork Travis and Lucy had already done before even starting their search, we were able to craft a compelling offer that beat out the others!
