Culture Clash – in the very best way

By Living Room Realty, December 10, 2019

Carrie always figured she buy a house one day.  Maher wasn’t so sure of that.

Carrie and Maher met and got married in Abu Dhabi, and after the birth of their first daughter moved back to the states, specifically Beaverton, OR – where Carrie grew up. Carrie found a teaching job, and Maher got back into the medical field after being a Dr. in Abu Dhabi.  Their second daughter was born and they moved into a rental house.

When the landlords announced the house would be sold, Carrie and Maher fast tracked their road to homeownership. This is a bigger deal for Maher than the average person. Owning property in Maher’s experience and culture was uncommon.  Maher’s late father always wished land ownership for his sons…and here we are.

Home sweet home for the Lazeg family.
