Take the Ross Island Bridge east, turn right, and you’ll run into a sweet middle class neighborhood along the Willamette River. Brooklyn is one of Portland’s oldest neighborhoods with a rich history that has evolved a lot over the years. Today it is thought of as one of Southeast Portland’s most desirable neighborhoods. The very popular Aladdin Theatre is here and hosts some of the best musicians and comedians around. With Sellwood to the south and Reed College just east, Brooklyn is in a nice pocket of the city with something for everyone.
