Maintaining Diversity & Large Lots

Residents are drawn to Cully’s large lots and strong sense of community. The neighborhood has worked hard to help residents from being priced out to varying levels of success. In 2016, the Portland Housing Bureau worked with a few nonprofits to buy Oak Leaf Mobile Home Park to stop it from being sold to a developer. The area is Northeast Portland’s largest neighborhood at over 3 square miles, and its population as of the 2010 US Census is 13,322. Cully is also the most racially/ethnically diverse area in Oregon by some measures.
