Exactly What it Sounds Like
Far Southwest is quite possibly the most on-the-nose neighborhood name we’ve come across. The area is nestled about as far southwest as you can get in Portland. But it’s close proximity to I-5 makes it an easy commute to the rest of the city. Far Southwest is also home to Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus and Lesser Park with acres and acres of wildlife habitat and hiking trails. The rest of the neighborhood consists mainly of homes built from the 1940s to the 1970s, often on sprawling lots.
