Chris is a native Portlander born and raised on the Eastside. He recently got one of those jobs that requires him to journey to Beaverton every day. We searched for about a month on the Westside and while the houses close to work checked most of the boxes, his heart remained in the east.
Once he honed his search, in short order he found this amazing two-story townhousey condo just off of Mississippi. It was the dead of winter and the condo had been sitting on the market since late August of last year. It went on at $349k taking price drops til it was at $315k in mid December. Chris found it in early January and we were able to get an offer accepted at $305k! A rare deal in these low-inventory winter months.
Chris’ new home has 3 beds, 1.5 bath with 1026 square feet. Built in 2000, it needs a little finish work here and there, but with a fresh coat of paint and a couple kitchen updates this baby is luxurious compared the new overpriced urban cookie cutter apartments in the area. It’s located in the heart of Mississippi, just a couple blocks from the 405 and walking distance to the ReBuilding center and all of Mississippi’s culinary delights.
