A Family Affair! Charming Historic Duplex in Sullivan Gulch!

By Marissa Sainz, July 16, 2021

Oh, I love my clients — this summer has had the perfect culmination of new and repeat clients, from first home buyers to seasoned property investors! This time around, a repeat client of mine called me up, interested in a 1927 duplex in his childhood neighborhood. Assuming the duplex was for him, I was surprised to arrive at the property and find a large group of family and friends had tagged along. It turns out, he was helping his sister find her next home, and it was to be a family affair! This duplex was the perfect fit offering Liz’s next home along with an income-producing property. After a short battle of offers between us and another interested buyer, we upped our offer a final time and won!

The duplex is delightful! As you enter, the hardwood floors, built-in antique china cases, and original mail slot showcase the authentic charm of this 1927 build. All bathrooms are recently updated with white paneling, cabinetry, and beveled floor tiling. One kitchen is updated, and Patrick will enjoy bringing the other kitchen to life before renting it out.

The property has a private, landscaped backyard, creating a peaceful oasis for family get-togethers. The full basement is complete with washer/dryer hookups and plenty of storage — however, the space has design potential for a den or entertainment room, if Liz is ever interested!

In this business, maintaining client relationships can’t be overlooked! Not only have my prior clients provided me continued support with repeat business (thank you!), but I have formed genuine friendships simply by providing authentic, honest consulting. THIS is what makes the grind worth it for me. Thank you again, Patrick and Liz, for bringing me in on this awesome family affair! I am overjoyed that we secured your dream home in your childhood neighborhood!
