School lunch is back in season!
Whether your kid eats hot lunch or brings their lunch to school, you want to be sure they are eating healthfully and well…actually eating a meal. Here are a few tips for those folks who pack a lunch to bring to school. We thought sharing our simple approach might save you time in the mornings, bring fun and healthful eating habits to you kids as well as reducing waste while you’re at it!
You could also add to the list:
(2) small sealable reusable containers
(1) reusable sandwich pouch
Lunch goes by quickly, so finger food and easy to nibble food is great for kids. Try making a half sandwich instead of a whole and make the sandwich a side, not the main…in fact our method is that there is no main dish for lunch. Here’s what we put together:
(1-2) raw veg
(1) raw fruit (with a sprinkle of cinnamon?)
pretzels or corn chips
