Covid-19 has created much change in how we go about buying and selling homes today. Our industry, our company, and our team quickly put protocols in place to keep buyers, sellers, agents, inspectors, lenders, and title officers safe. So what is it like being a buyer right now? Here is how we are helping you.
As always, we’ll begin with a detailed conversation about what you are looking for. After our initial meeting, we will set up a customized online RMLS search for you. You’ll see the newest listings in your email inbox as soon as they hit the market. Once you find a home that excites you, we’ll take these steps to ensure that you can safely see it:
1. Carefully look at the photos and map location.
2. Watch the virtual tour. If there is not a virtual tour, and the house is vacant, we will go and make one for you. If the house is owner occupied, we will request a virtual tour from the listing agent.
3. If the house still interests you, drive by. Make sure you like the location in person.
4. Once you have determined that this home is still of high interest, we will set up a showing provided that the home is vacant. Many owner occupied homes require that you write an offer “subject to interior inspection”. Once your offer is accepted, you’ll get to see the house in person and decide if you want to move forward with the purchase.
