Portland real estate continues to slow in its inflation of home values. The peak of the hot housing market seems to be the spring of 2016. Since then, we have seen much more reasonable increases in year over year home value—much closer to 6% than the crazy times of 12%-16% year over year. It is a good time to buy a house! We are seeing lots of price reductions in listings and homes selling for under list price. Buyers are having a little more time to think about a home purchase as well. Our market is stabilizing which is good for all!
