Dialed and renovated home, close in SE Portland

By Living Room Realty, September 13, 2022

This renovated, dialed home went pending with multiple offers over asking after one weekend on the market. I helped Justin and Katie purchase this home 7 years ago as a fixer in their favorite neighborhood. It was their first home purchase, and they used it as a springboard to learn about renovating, design, working with contractors, and building equity. Ultimately they bought a new home and used this house as a rental for a few years before deciding to move on from it. To get it ready to sell, they had an old shed removed that was falling down, landscaped key portions of the yard, had the exterior/interior painted, and a handyman did some of the final last touches that needed attention.

The house showed really well, and inspections yielded minimum repair requests as we expected. There was a surprising sewer repair issue that turned up. We didn’t panic though, and after reviewing the scope video we acquired a second opinion that was able to show that the root intrusion section was a city responsibility – thus saving my sellers thousands of dollars. I was able to help coordinate all the final repairs needed, and after my sellers signed off on it, the appropriate contractors came in and dialed in the final details. We’re scheduled to close tomorrow! I’m so excited for my seller’s and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
