Doug Blevins has an employment story more people should know. He was born with Cerebral Palsy in 1963. He has never walked and he uses a power wheelchair. Through hard work and a series of shrewd career moves. He became a kicking coach in the NFL and has worked with Hall of farmer Adam Vinatieri and future Hall of Famer Justin Tucker. Blevins himself was nominated for the NFL Hall of Fame in 2012
As I continue my real estate career with Living Room Realty, I draw inspiration from Mr. Blevins. I also have Cerebral Palsy and use a power wheelchair. I realize that being a Realtor using a power wheelchair is not as unusual or glamorous as being an NFL kicking coach. But there are a precious few realtors in wheelchairs in the U S. As the demographic in our country shifts older, the expertise on living in your home as your physical abilities decrease will become more important.
