Dreams Do Come True

By Living Room Realty, June 24, 2020

Owning a home, a place to call your own, is often referred to as the “American Dream”. Trite.
It’s not just an American trope, but a genuine human need for attainment and attachment, not
just to a privately owned property, but to an opportunity for creative expression of the self. A
home is a parcel not only of that with which we surround ourselves, but a living, sharing space
for our friends and family within a physical environment. A reflection not only of our current
circumstances, but our vision for our future, and our palette for change. Who we are.

Years ago, my wonderful clients found a good home and made it better: made it their own.
Beginning with a serene house, well designed and with optimal light in and out, they added
improvements over the years while continuing the maintenance which it deserved. They
developed and celebrated their taste for beautiful gardens, landscaping and peaceful,
refreshing pools–fostering the gradual creation of a quiet place for the practice of a life
enjoyed on their own terms.

When the time arrived for them to move on, my task was made easily manageable because
their love and attention to their home and environment was palpable, and the right buyer
could sense it. It was a quick and non-stressful exchange, and that’s the way all dreams should
end, and begin: To a good new morning.
