Blog Stories Episode IV

Episode IV

By Living Room Realty, February 4, 2021

Sunday evening…6:15 pm I get a text message from my client Beverly saying that she went to an open house over the weekend and wants to write an offer. My knee-jerk reaction was: I’ll take a look in the morn and get back with you. As I settled in to watch Star Wars, Ep. IV, A New Hope, with my family, I had this little tickle on the back of my neck telling me to check the listing sheet. Sure enough, offers where due at 8 pm; by now that was in 55 minutes. A quick call to the listing agent and I learned that there were already two on the table, but she said no problem if I got an offer in first thing Monday. I finished watching the movie; it ended the same way as it did the first time I watched when I was 5. I still got a little choked up when Princess Leia put the metals around Han & Luke’s necks after blowing up the Death Star. Did you know that Chewbacca didn’t get a metal? That is bullshit.

Anyway, the next morn I got the offer submitted before 9 am and had an excepted contract within a few hours. The house was a really cool town-home-style condo in Orenco Station. Such a neat little spot. You could live there and not get in your car for months if you wanted to! Enjoy your new place Beverly and may the force be with you.
