I just helped my buyers into a lovely home in the Foster-Powell neighborhood. Working on this transaction reminded me of just how cool this area is. Foster-Powell is bordered on the north by Powell Blvd., 82nd Ave. to the east and Foster Rd. diagonally on the south-west side. Foster-Powell is a great place to find affordable family home with 27 homes currently listed at a median list price of $499,500.
A wonderful family feature of this neighborhood is Essex Park on 79th and Center St. The park has great amenities including:
Accessible Play Area
Accessible Restroom
Picnic Table
Playground
Paths (Paved)
Baseball Field
Splash Pad
Basketball Court
Tennis Backboard
Tennis Court (Lighted)
Another wonderful feature of the Foster-Powell neighborhood is the Portland Mercado. The mercado is an incubator model and economic development initiative of Portland non-profit Hacienda CDC, provides affordable retail space for businesses to launch and grow, and is a hub for Latino culture in Portland.
